Bread and water

Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are obligatory days of universal fast and abstinence. Fasting is obligatory for all who have completed their 18th year until the beginning of their 60th year. Fasting allows a person to eat one full meal. Two smaller meals may be taken, not to equal one full meal. Abstinence (from meat) is obligatory for all who have completed 14th year of age. Lent 2024

Join us this Lent to reflect on the Passion of Our Lord. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Confessions will be held on Thursdays. Stations of the Cross will be prayed on Fridays. Make this Lent a prayerful time to grow in holiness.

Anointing

Join us for a healing Mass every first Saturday at Corpus Christi Church. A healing Mass is a normal Mass, but it has a special emphasis on God’s healing power; this may be reflected in the music and scripture readings. Prayers for healing are not limited to physical healing, but can also include spiritual and emotional healing. The Healing Mass often includes the anointing of those who wish to come forward for this special blessing.

On New Year’s Eve join us for Exposition of the blessed Sacrament to give thanks to God at the end of the year. Monday, New Year’s Day, is not a Holy Day of Obligation this year but all are invited to attend Mass and begin 2024 giving praise and thanks to our God.
